Don't BLAME your POUCH
PREACH!!!!! So, so, so true. We all slip from time to time. That's life. But the basics work. You have to be willing to work as hard as your pouch does. Eat well, be acoountable, exercise regularly, take your supplements, drink your water, have a positive and powerful mindset otherwise, you are going to gain weight. Plain and simple.
Thank you, MD this is what we have been talking about in your post.
I will except all the blame that my weight has come to a complete stand still. I also have no that I have to get my mind right. I also knew that WLS is not the answer to my fatness but a tool to use to get over it. I hear so many people who have not had WLS say "YOU TOOK THE EASY WAY OUT". I look at them as ask them if when they are dieting do they have to watch what they eat because it will make them physically sick ?
Dedee and MD and MackMama
Thank you for bring this to light. So many of us feel that we are the only ones going through these issues like this and are too scared to bring it up for fear that we will be looked at like we have three heads.
THANK YOU MY SISTAHS

Thanks for the much needed post. It's a great reality check. I'm relatively new, being only 9 months out and currently enjoying life under goal. I exercise erry day but in the back of my head I know I still got lots of work to do as far as eating habits. I love my DS, but this bad boy will sometimes let you put away a good bit of chow, relatively speaking. And lately, all much of my cravings have been centered on Sweet sh*t.
I'm working on getting it under control. I think lots of people go through that stage when they lose lose lose. Then the body levels out. And if the behavior hasn't changed (i.e. exercise, intake control, vits, h2o etc) then the body starts to gain gain gain.
Putting myself in check (after the holidays .....). Good lookin out baby girl!!

At only 4 days out, I appreciate this reminder! I know all too well that this is a tool and you gotta continue to work it. I too get tired of reading the posts about weight gain and not losing weight. It's scary and I hate to read them, but you have to remember WHY it happens. You gotta work HARDER after the weight is off.
Hell, PHENTERMINE diet pills were my "tool" a few years ago when I lost over 100 pounds. But guess what? As soon as I stopped taking that shiot and and my lazy azz stopped going to the gym, that weight started coming back. And even though I maintained [relatively] healthy eating habits (with an occasional treat from time to time), I was obviously eating more food and I wasn't working out like I was supposed to.
Before I knew it, BAM over 60 lbs had creeped back up on my AZZ (literally)! And trying to turn it around AFTER the fact, was a b***ch. I might be a newbie, but to me, this is no different than my first go round with dropping a ton of weight. I'm not gonna get it twisted and believe that somebody came along and sprinkled magic fairy dust on my azz and now all of a sudden I'm cured. Uh no...
So here I am, 4 days post op and I got my mind right. I just need to KEEP your advice first and foremost on my brain. Thank you so much for this post.
And since I introduced myself a long time ago on this forum, but haven't really posted, "heeeey y'all."
